The
America Legion and Guyer-Carignan, Post 22 is entering their Centennial
Birthday (100th) in 2019. Post 22 is a Centennial Post in District 6,
Department of New Hampshire with the Charter date of July 15, 1919.
Guyer-Carignan, Post 22 has established a Centennial Committee to
celebrate 100 years of service to our veterans, the community, State and
Nation in bring forth the Legacy of the American Legion with the Four
Pillars which are Veterans, Defense, Youth and Americanism.
On
October 6th, the Centennial Committee will have a luncheon at the Post
home from 12noon to 2pm. Come in and see what the Post is doing to
celebrate our 100 years. It’s not just the Legion, it’s about the whole
Legion Family. We have several Committee Chairs that are vacant and we
need all the help from the whole Legion Family in helping with the
Centennial Celebration. There’s more history that needs to be found, old
photos from years past, newspaper stories plus many other things. This
is just a sample of what help we need, but there’s many other things
that you can participate in other than a Committee Chair.
If
anyone has old photos, newspaper articles from years past or anything
that is about our Post, please bring them in and we will makes copies of
what ever you have is greatly appreciated.
